Eagles have often been an important part of many Native American cultures. In ancient Aztec tradition, the chief god told the people to settle at a place where they find an eagle perched on a cactus eating a snake. (from Animal Speak, Ted Andrews) This was Mexico City, my hometown. Eagles' are spirit medicine and often represent a state of grace achieved through hard work, understanding and a completion of tests of initiation.
