Limited Edition Rainbow, Diamond, Feather Beaded Bag on Deer Hide, Native American Inspired
Rainbows, feathers, and diamonds! The feather is used in healing ceremonies throughout Native traditions. I wanted to make a bag that represents healing. Use it as a medicine bag or to hold any of your sacred valuables. I used a loom for all of the bead work (both the panel and the strap) for this small medicine pouch. The beads are traditional size 11 seed beads and contain turquoise, the colors of the rainbow, black and white. The beaded panel has more than 1770 on the panel. I sewed the panel onto brown leather and then again onto the deer hide. The strap has over 1250 seed beads and also contains the semiprecious stones: turquoise, red coral, onyx, peach moonstone and bronze. The bag measures: 3" x 5" and closes with a jade stone.
